Preserve Memories Creatively Through Scrapbooking
October 27th, 2009Saving and protecting mementos and memorabilia seems to be
inherent in our DNA. At an early age, I learned how important and valued our
family photo albums were, and as I grew up, I learned that just about every
other family cherished their memories in a similar fashion.
Today, this practice has blossomed into a cottage industry known
as scrapbooking, which has become hugely popular within the past twenty years.
Most major arts and crafts stores even have scrapbooking departments where
customers can buy virtually any tools or materials they need to put special
touches on their own creations. Another source of tools, materials and
information is the Internet. For example, a wide variety of free
scroll work scrapbook paper is available online, which you are not likely
to find at your local craft store.
If this type of activity interests you, simply use your favorite
search engine to do an Internet search for the word â??scrapbookingâ?. Each
resulting site should have links to other sites that will supply you enough
information to get you started.
