Applying for a mortgage without a credit check
March 18th, 2010If you have been rejected for a mortgage on the basis of your credit rating, or know that you will be rejected on application all hope can seem lost. However, there are some financial institutions that will offer you a no credit check mortgage which will make approval more likely. Basically, this type of mortgage is offered without performing a credit check with your application.
Not every lender offers this type of loan. In many cases it is a special limited offer that is given to new applicants as part of a promotion to get new customers. There are other lenders that always offer mortgages without a credit check although these are harder to find. It is a good idea to keep your eye out for special deals for people with a bad credit rating.
Even though you are more likely to be approved for this type of loan it is still important to present a strong application. This means providing all of the evidence you require together with proof that you are trying to improve your credit score. The lender likes to see that you are proactive with your finances and you are able to save money and improve your credit. It is also a good idea to apply for a no credit check mortgage in person as this gives you a much greater chance of being approved.
